Creating the modern wedding day.

This modern bridal shoot is inspired by the contemporary, art-filled ambiance that is abundant at Mainframe Studios and their event venue, The Big Room.

As a planner and event stylist, Sarah Burt, of Burt Event Management Co. is always looking for a unique space that will help tell a couple's story, but doesn’t take away from the energy of the duo (or their budget).

Blank canvas for your day.

Mainframe Studios, is a PERFECT canvas to create your day. The venue space, dubbed The Big Room, is affordable and accommodates 30 to 300 guests. We enjoy so many things about the space — the big windows … the ceiling fixtures by Artist Molly Spain … the blonde barn wood tables and matching chairs … an outdoor area … the impeccable food and beverage options by The Tangerine Food Company … bistro lighting throughout … the list seems to go on and on and on.

Sarah wanted to implement the latest trends in the industry including fitted, satin gowns alongside gowns with tulle skirts and puffy sleeves, colorful floral, and untraditional props. Plus, she had a vision to gather a group of women to showcase it all as a bridal lookbook. It transformed into an ode to the modern bride. A bride who isn't afraid to break the rules, to stray from neutrals, and to implement her uniqueness. Sarah's hope is that this styled shoot empowers brides to bring their own version of bold into their wedding day.

Getting all the details is worth it.

Going in, Sarah knew the tablespaces would feel wild and a little “mad-hatter,” tea party. It’s Spring – it’s life – it’s fun – it’s freeing and blooming and becoming. Like a marriage should feel. And Schaffer’s was a big part of the collaboration, dressing five of the models in their latest dresses. It created the ultimate wedding lookbook. It was all captured by Laura Wills Photography, creating this stunning bridal editorial. Getting all the details, even if it required her to lie on the floor to capture the right angle.

All the vintage furniture you see was curated by Vowed Vintage, and they carry a great variety of vintage tableware from crystal to milky glass to antiques. If you want to elevate the catering china or really make your tables POP, consider vintage tableware. White Willow Events and Taylor Boesen brought the floral designs to life. Her team is so approachable and always goes above and beyond to blow you away.

Sarah Burt designed this shoot around The Good Co. DSM and their white wooden swing. Talk about a canvas. The swing can be transformed to match any style or theme from classic to bohemian or it can change from ceremony alter to photo booth. How sweet does it look covered in colorful baby’s breath?! WOW.
