Kaitlin + Trenton

These high school sweethearts may live in Iowa City, but their hearts are in the mountains, so they decided to elope to their favorite place, Glacier National Park for a serene October wedding.

The idea of keeping the wedding private for just the two of them was something Kaitlin found very romantic. While there was still plenty to coordinate, it let the couple focus on just each other, in a place they love. With their photographer Kelsie Berg and crew, they were able to explore beautiful parts of the park to capture their amazing day. One of their unexpected stops was a waterfall on the side of the road. The couple bounced and slipped their way along rocks to get to the base. And they were so glad they did. The shots turned out to be some of their favorites.

They also wanted to celebrate with friends and family back in Iowa, so in the spirit of their charming northwestern getaway, they rented a lodge off Lake Darling, near the small town of Brighton, Iowa. It had a cozy fireplace and large picture windows that looked out on to the lake.

Kaitlin still wanted all the small details, so she created her invites, table decorations, even burned small pieces of pine with the couples initials that sat at every place setting.

The travel wasn't over yet, Kaitlin and Trenton had one more adventure and escaped to Lake Louise, Banff National Park, in Alberta, Canada. We wish them both a lifetime of adventure and love.
